The Kumbh Mela is the oldest and largest gathering of humanity on earth and is a mass Hindu pilgrimage of faith in which Hindus gather to bathe in a sacred or holy river. Traditionally, four fairs are widely recognized as the Kumbh Melas and in 2016 I took a tour to the Mela at Ujjain in India. Fairs are held at each location every 12 years and the number of pilgrims can exceed 100 million!
